How Local Search Really Works.
Imagine you are out running errands on a busy afternoon and suddenly your car tire goes flat, or your kitchen sink starts leaking water all over the floor. What is the very first thing you do? Like millions of people every day, you pull out your smartphone and search on Google for help nearby.
When you search for a local service, Google usually displays a map at the top of your screen with three highlighted local businesses beneath it. In the world of digital search, this top section is called the Local Pack or the Map Pack.
